Limit Kit
You hit the limit at three in the afternoon and the day is not finished. This does not raise your limit - it changes how the work is done so the same day fits inside it.
First sentence to type
“limit check”
What it does
- Asks every clarifying question in one message instead of one per turn, and answers the related questions you were about to ask next.
- Warns in one line before an expensive run - a long research sweep, a pile of tool calls, a large document - and waits.
- Says once when the conversation itself has become the cost, and offers a handoff so a fresh chat picks the work up.
- Routes reference material you keep pasting into a Project, where content is cached and does not count against limits when reused.
- Answers 'limit check' with what in this conversation is costing the most and the three changes that would help.
What it will not do
- Will not guess how much of your limit is left or claim to see your usage - only Settings, Usage can.
- Will not suggest extra accounts, shared logins or any way around the limits.
- Will not shorten the actual work; the saving comes from fewer turns, not thinner answers.
Install - three minutes, pick one
- claude.ai, Settings, Personalization - paste it where your response preferences go. Start here: the limit is an account-level problem.
- claude.ai, Customize, Skills, Add, Upload skill - upload limit-kit.zip if you want it on demand rather than always on.
- claude.ai, Projects, Instructions, or CLAUDE.md in Claude Code or Cowork - for the one project that eats most of your quota.
Needs
Any Claude plan. No connectors. It cannot see your usage - Settings, Usage is the only real number.

This file is free and asks for nothing in return - no email, no account. Memory availability differs by plan and account; if memory is not available in yours, the paste-into-a-project version does the same job.
